Sowing a dream

Pasticceria Lisita was founded in 1967 by the Neapolitan pastry chef Salvatore Lisita. A young sailor, once back on shore he decided to open a pastry shop in Mondragone. Driven by the art of and passion for traditional pastry-making, he set up a small workshop on the main avenue with his father, his brothers and his sisters.

The dream grows

The pastry shop’s creations win more and more admirers, and the clientele grows. So in 1978 Salvatore Lisita opens a new workshop on Via Domitiana.

1986

His wife and children

After the untimely death of the founder Salvatore Lisita, the business is taken over by his wife Rita and their three children: Carmela, Alfredo and Alessandro. A generational change that will lead the company towards consolidation and new ambitions. National and international awards and accolades soon follow.

Expansion on Via Domitiana

A true evolution for Pasticceria Lisita, with a renovation on Via Domitiana. This step marks the start of a new phase of growth and diversification, including new catering services and a quick-service café.

Half a century of excellence

In 2017 Lisita celebrates a major milestone: 50 years in business, joining the ranks of the town’s historic businesses. In the same year a new generation joins the company: Salvatore Lisita, son of Alfredo, closing a circle that began 50 years earlier.

2022

From Mondragone to Rome

Pasticceria Lisita’s story spans more than half a century, and in 2022, after collaborating with Eataly on several events, the historic pastry shop on Via Domitiana is joined by a new outlet at Eataly Roma.

Recognition

Awards and recognition

Over the years it has received a number of national and international awards, among them “Il Premio Internazionale Ercole d’oro”, known as the “Oscar of food”, the “Diploma Genuinità 1981” awarded by the Association for Public Relations in Europe, and the “Premio Progresso Italia – Regione Campania” in its 1995 edition.
